Driving for an hour and crossing the border for a good espresso? Of course! Anytime. My girls came up with the idea about a day-off in Trieste and I couldn’t wait for a sunny day in this old seaport city. It was a very well spent Friday. We took our time, enjoyed Chocolat “gelato”, chated over Aperol Spritz, did some shopping and had a proper cup of espresso. Italy produces excellent coffee and I share their love for these roasted coffee beans. Trieste’s best known brand is Illy – and espresso here tastes better than anywhere else. Trust my word.
A great place for a day trip.
