For a few days in June, I was a tourist guide for my cousin from Australia and the task was not hard at all – there are so many pretty spots around the country worth visiting. We didn’t have time to visit them all, however Bled was obviously first one on her bucket list and it really is a must see. After paddling to the island and hiking to the castle above the lake, we still had time on our hands and so Vintgar Gorge came to my mind. I love this place, it offers a pleasant walk in between high vertical stone walls, taking you over the river, its rapids and waterfalls.
Good choice for a hot summer day.
