My kind of Saturday.

Take us to mountains – and you’ll end up with one happy girl and one happy vizsla. 6 hours, 15 km and 1.100 m of altitude on a sunny Saturday sound perfect to me. It’s the best way to take all of your worries out of the head and be present in the moment. Good company, the views, and tasty food are just a plus. We visited Roblek Lodge before and kept our promises to hike to the top of Begunjščica, but to keep it interesting, we decided to hike another path. It was well recommended and hear me out, go hike it yourself, this circular route is amazing.

Start at Ljubelj, pass Zelenica, when reaching mountain ridge go for the summit and after taking in all the views, visit also Roblek Lodge (not necessary but come on, who doesn’t enjoy some warm home-cooked food after hiking for hours?). We took path along the southern slope to return, passing Preval and going through the tunnels of well known Born route – and so completed the full circle. We all loved the path and can highly recommend it! Let pictures convince you.

P. S. I finally created “Hiking!” Category as some of you suggested before. I don’t even post all of our hiking trips on BWT blog, but after categorizing my previous post … I’ll admit it makes sense, one can tell it’s our favorite hobby. To many more hikes!
