Hiking to the bivouac shelter under Skuta mountain was on my bucket list for years now. In 2015, the old bivouac was replaced with the new, may I say a very good looking one – and all of a sudden, the steep hike via “Žmavcarji” didn’t seem all that bad. Well, the hike still is steep, unmarked and takes some time, but the bivouac is really impressive as well as all the surrounding summits. And besides some of those, I might add another trip to my bucket list – a night stay in the bivouac, waiting for the sun to set and rise above mountains.
