Afterwork hikes to Šmarna and Rašica in Ljubljana are great, but we have really missed a proper day hike in the mountains and were very excited when we finally parked our car in Tolminske Ravne. Path through the woods to the Planina Razor was quickly behind us, so we continued to the summit of Vogel mountain and hiked the ridge to Globoko Predel

Hills around our Vipava Valley may not be as high as the Alps or the Karawanks, but they continue to impress me every time I hike up there. However, I’m happy to be writing again after a while, I enjoy it and I missed it. I can’t say how things will roll, but I want to keep it up and a New Year seems like a great starting point for a fresh new post …

This spectacular canyon wasn’t really in our plans – but after all the hiking on West, we quickly figured that Sardinia has more to offer than just turquoise clear blue seas. And as we are currently staying so close to the National Park of Orosei and Gennargentu, we simply had to see what it has to offer. We started our hike at Genna Silana pass …
