April snow and memories.

This sure feels like a proper ‘Throwback Thursday’ as I’m browsing through photos of our January winter holidays and writing down these memories. Yes I’m aware of the fact that it’s April and the fact that my latest posts were way more spring-like. But on the other hand, yesterday snow covered a great part of Slovenia and Ljubljana is actually still very white today. This weather puts me in a winter mood when all I want to do is keep warm, drink hot tea, eat waffles with friends – and think of all the skiing and hiking we did that January week in Italy.

Besides being Oto’s first traveling to Italy, this were also our first holidays spent together.

Serrada – our favourite place to escape and spend a week of winter fun – is a small town near Folgaria in the northern Italian region Trentino. This year our vizsla boy came along and it was even more fun than ever. In mornings we went for long walks or took hikes to discover stunning views from mountains above Roveretto (Monte Finonchio being our favourite top). Oto was happy to sleep-in and rest after morning activities so me and Primoz joined others on the ski slopes. It was quite active, but we had a great time and can’t wait for the next winter to come. However for now, I don’t mind spring comming back and the snow outside to melt away …

Civil engineer with a lot of interests like traveling, food, taking care for my plants, running and hiking! Currently living in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Always up for a coffee date, usually stolling around citycenter, most happy when there's time for a walk in the woods after work hours. In love with my two boys - one of them walking on four legs and wiggling with a tawny tail.
