Hi there! It’s been a while since my last post – life gets so busy sometimes and I allways try to enjoy in the moment, so there simply was no time to write. I missed it though. It’s so much fun creating the post, picking photos, remembering fun times – and this post is just that, it’s all about that amazing time we had in London a few weeks ago. I love London. I have visited it a few times now but on every flight home I’m already thinking about when I’ll get to go back again. It’s such a diverse city, has so much to offer and really is a must visit.
While my first and second visit in London, I pretty much checked all of the touristic sights off my bucket list. The city is huge and there’s planty of sightseeing to do. However, each time I go back, I’m more intrigued by public spaces, parks, open markets and interesting neighborhoods over top London attractions. I also love the galleries and food places, jummy! So here comes my list of top three choices, where to spend your time while in London. Worth seeing – or should I say, worth experiencing …
Go where locals go,
do what locals do.
1. Locals spend a lot of time in parks. I love to do so too, parks in London are delightful. They’re really big, so pretty and filled with friendly birds, ducks and squirrels. My favourite ones are Hyde park, Regent’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Holland Park. I would love to visit deer and reindeer in Richmond Park one day too. It’s on my list for the next visit!
2. For strolling around with coffee-to-go, visiting bookshops and admiring pretty Georgian and Victorian houses, my favourite neighborhoods are Notting Hill, Soho, Covent Garden, Kensington and Paddington. These are also places that held great markets like Portobello Road Market, Borough Market, Spitalfields Market and Sunday UpMarket.
3. Visiting galleries isn’t for everyone, I know, but if you like art and design as much as I do – go check out some of many galleries in London! There’s so much to choose from, London’s permanent and temporary exhibitions and art galleries are amazing. My favourite places to visit are V&A Museum, Tate Modern, National Gallery and Saatchi Gallery. All diferent but I could spend days in all of them.
P.S. If interested, over here are words in a video format …
So long, London!
