After a few days on the Western coast of Sardinia, we are leaving for East tomorrow. At the beginning, we were struggling with finding a camp that would suit our needs, but finally found quite a special place to stay. Camping at Torre del Porticciolo hasn’t only been a great starting point for our trips around Alghero and visiting La Pelosa on the North, it’s a rather interesting spot itself as well. The bay is surrounded by cliffs, on one of which an old tower is located. Trails around the bay were great for our tawny tail and the views from the top were lovely.
Loved this wild coastline. See you on the East!
My favourite spot in the West was definitely the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park. We took a hike from Capo Caccia to the Torre della Pegna and were so impressed by the landscape of the Park. Steep cliffs on our trail offered great views overlooking the sea and we couldn’t help to stop and take pictures so many times, my phone battery died before reaching the top. After the hike, our tired legs somehow managed to also climb ca 600 stairs to the cave Grotta di Nettuno. The stairway, from the top of the cliff to the sea level, is breath-taking and feels like out of some movie. Even more hikes on East, please!
Lp!
