Due to so many plans we have for this summer (and fall in particular), we’ve only managed to squeeze in a week of seaside holidays this June. We figured it doesn’t make sense to travel south to Dalmatia as per usual and decided to visit Kvarner’s islands instead, not really expecting much. We packed our camping gear and headed via Cres and Losinj, still not sure where we’ll end up. After visiting a camp in Cres we didn’t like as much, we extended our drive to Mali Losinj, finding our camping spot in Camping Village Poljana.
Losinj, what a lovely surprise you were!
It turned out, Poljana was a great starting point for discovering Losinj island. We visited beautiful bays such as Vladarke and Suncana Uvala, hiked to Plieski Bay, biked to Veli Losinj and Javorna Beach, … The turquoise and blue shades of the sea were so pretty, everywhere we went. We also found out that Losinj has several dog-friendly beaches (Valdarke, Čikat, Artatore etc.), many more compared to anywhere we visited before in Croatia. Another very lovely surprise for our tawny tail! We also recommend visiting Providenca viewpoint. It’s such a fun place for an evening drink with an amazing view of the sun setting behind the islands around.
