The heat wave has been around for a week now and it made us stay inside till late hours everyday – having time to repot plants, do the laundry, work on projects and master’s thesis, but boring our vizsla to death. I love good brunch spots around Ljubljana and I’m glad there are quite a few to choose from. Festive December.
The lights are on, the Christmas tree at Preseren Square shines bright and the city center is crowded, so it’s safe to say the festive December in Ljubljana is in its ful swing! Teden restavracij is a flavorful week in every spring and autumn, when some of best Slovenian restaurants offer special menus for a rather friendly price. We love food and every season we’re excited to visit a different restaurant and experience something new. This time around …
Colourful walks.
Leaves started to fall off so I guess autumn is in full swing. It’s all happening so fast, we took these photos over the weekend and today all of the small maple trees on our street are half bare already. It’s such a colourful season and so far we enjoy it alot – not counting lower temperatures though, that make us freeze in the mornings!

This is the weekend to visit Ljubljana if you love burgers and beer as we do. Pivo&Burger Fest is a great festival that offers a variety of burgers for anyone’s taste and quite a selection of beers, mostly from craft Slovenian brewers. Good morning Ljubljana.
We’re taking this weekend real easy. A lot has been going on and when life gets busier, a few days without any plans are much appreciated.
